A gentle, thickened milk formula that is suitable for the dietary management of reflux and regurgitation.
The addition of the natural thickener carob bean gum allows the formula to thicken in the bottle, helping the feed to stay down. HiPP anti-reflux milk can be used from birth as a sole source of nutrition or as part of a varied weaning diet from six months.

Preparing formula with boiled water
Ask your baby's doctor if you should boil water when preparing formula, and whether or not you need to boil utensils, bottles, nipples, and rings in water before each use. If you choose to boil, follow these steps:
- Wash hands and sterilize all equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Bring water to a rolling boil for one minute, then turn off the heat. Let cool till about 40-50°C (104-122°F). Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.
- Pour approximately 2/3 of the water into the bottle.
- Using the scoop provided add the correct number of scoops of powder – 1 level scoop of powder to each fluid ounce of water. Level off the powder. Do not press the powder.
- Place the sterilized nipple on the bottle and shake well until the powder has dissolved (approx. 15 seconds).
- Add the rest of the water and shake again.
- HiPP AR special formula should be left to stand for 7 minutes after preparation so it may thicken.

Afterwards, shake again and check that the milk is at feeding temperature (approx. 37°C or 98.6°F). Feed immediately. Always test the temperature of the milk before feeding.
*In order not to damage the natural lactic acid cultures (lactobacilli), please do not prepare the food with excessively hot water.
Note: Bottled or filtered water is not a suitable replacement for water that has been boiled, but it might be a better alternative to tap water in some areas. If you are concerned about lead or other harmful substances in your water, talk to your healthcare professional before making formula with tap water.

Avoid preparing bottles ahead of time. Leftover formula should be discarded after 1 hour of being prepared.
To prevent dental decay, do not allow baby to continually suckle bottle
Do not use a microwave to heat
This product should not be used in conjunction with antacids or other feed thickeners.
Due to the presence of the natural thickener locust bean gum in this formula, you may notice that your baby's stool becomes softer. This is perfectly normal.
